PRV for Fire Fighting Equipment (KRF)
Product Code: KRF
Basic Applications:
The KRF is a pilot operated pressure reducing valve designed to be used in various places where a large flow and stable outlet pressure are required such as in fire protection systems.
Product Description:
The KRF automatically reduces pressure from a higher inlet pressure to a steady lower outlet pressure by using a pilot mechanism that responds to changes in the water supply pressure regardless of changing flow rates and/ or varying inlet pressure.
The KRF is equipped with a relief valve to prevent the increase of outlet pressure caused by dead end shut off. Its gauge adapters on the inlet and outlet sides of the main valve enable pressure gauges to be installed while water is flowing allowing pressure to be easily read.
Features:
- Completely Automatic
- Specially Designed for Fire Protection Systems
- Stable and Reliable Operation
- Bronze and Stainless Steel Materials Prevent Rust Contamination
- Simple Installation and Maintenance
- Relief Valve Prevents Increased Outlet Pressure From Dead End Shut Off
Both the main valve and the pilot valve are equipped with perforated strainers to prevent clogging from foreign matter and to lengthen diaphragm life. The inclusion of three ball valves provides for stable operation by controlling the accurate opening and closing of the valve.
The KRF is designed with fewer parts than conventional valves. These parts are also longer-lasting, reducing the frequency of maintenance. When needed, maintenance can be done within an extremely short time.
